Auburn Aquatic Swimming and Water Safety Lessons

Belgravia Leisure has chosen the acclaimed educational program known as Swim and Survive as its aquatic program curriculum.

Our swimming and water safety lessons are much more than just learning how to swim.


  • combine water safety and skill development
  • have an emphasis on simulating open water environments
  • allow students to have fun while learning in a safe aquatic environment
  • are available for everyone from 6 months to 99 years at participating sites
  • are taught by AUSTSWIM or equivalent qualified accredited teachers.

Our swimming and water safety membership includes:

  • a 52-week annual membership
  • 48 swimming and water safety lessons
  • year-round aquatic access
  • 4 weeks of free family swim access over summer
  • a 5 day intensive program during the summer holidays

Splish Splash Program

The Splish Splash program is designed as a gentle introductory water experience for children from 3 - 6 months. Combining fun play time with water experiences for babies, and safety tips and water education for parents. 

Baby swimming has so much to offer when approached in a nurturing, child-paced, "baby friendly" environment which is the key to an enjoyable water experience for both babies and parents. 

This program commences Thursday 7th September and is held at 11:30am - 12:15pm. Entry to Splish Splash sessions is included with casual entry fee ($6.50). 

Swim and Survive Program

  1. There are 3 streams in the program:
  2. Wonder stream – For children aged 6 months to 3 years
  3. Courage stream – 3 to 5 years (preschool)
  4. Active stream – 5 years and above (school age) and adults

Students gaining competency in level criteria to a confident, competent and consistent ability receive a certificate of achievement and progress to the next level. Students are assessed on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
