Warmer weather is just around the corner and so too is Learn2Swim Week, an initiative backed by Laurie Lawrence and his Kids Alive Do The Five campaign, and one we’re very proud to support.
Learn2Swim Week’s aim is to get children under 5 in the pool and learning to swim between 23 September and 2 October, and to drive home the water safety message to parents with young kids.
As a Learn2Swim Week partner, we’re offering one free introductory swimming lesson for all under 5s in our area during the Learn2Swim week and we’re asking you to help spread the word.
Childhood drownings have a devastating impact on families and whole communities, so if someone you know has a littlely who has not yet had swimming lessons, please encourage them to visit the Learn2Swim Week website at www.learn2swimweek.com. In just a few clicks they can sign up for a free lesson at Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre. Alternatively, give us a call on 1300 482 575.
It’s a small gesture that just may save a life.
